How every question is checked
The question bank has more than 20,000 original, past-paper-style practice questions. This page explains how they are written, how each answer is checked before it goes live, and what happens when someone finds a mistake.
In short
Every question on ExaminerPrep is written from scratch for one topic of the current syllabus, comes with a full mark scheme, and is solved a second time by an independent check before it is published. Questions with an unresolved issue stay off the site until they are fixed.
1. Written from scratch for one topic
Each question is written for a single topic of the current syllabus of its course: IB Diploma Physics and Mathematics (AA and AI), and Cambridge and Pearson Edexcel IGCSE Physics and Maths. It uses the command terms and question styles of that exam board: multiple choice, data-based and structured questions. No question is copied or adapted from past papers or from any exam board material.
2. Created with AI assistance, directed by a physics teacher
AI tools help draft questions at scale. Evan Kotronis, a physics teacher, sets the topics, the level, the style and the mark-scheme conventions, and reviews samples from every batch. This is stated on every question page.
3. Solved again, independently
Before publishing, every question is re-solved from scratch by a separate checking step that does not see the intended answer. The two answers are compared, the level is checked against the syllabus, and the units, significant figures and diagrams are checked. Any disagreement goes to a second, stricter review.
4. A full mark scheme for every question
Each mark scheme shows the method, the marks for each step and the final answer with units. Multiple-choice questions explain why the right option is right and what mistake leads to each wrong option.
5. Held back when in doubt
A question with an unresolved issue is kept off the site until it is fixed. At the last build, 12 of 21,875 questions were held back.
6. Corrections
The bank is reviewed continuously. If you find a mistake, use Report an issue at the foot of any page, ideally with the question code shown next to the question number. Corrections go live with the next update.
