Most tutors teach the syllabus. An examiner teaches the mark scheme. Every May, thousands of highly capable students lose their Level 7 not on their grasp of physics, but on communication: providing answers that are correct in substance, yet incomplete on paper. I read those scripts. I know precisely where marks are awarded, where they are withheld, and exactly why. That knowledge cannot be found in a textbook. It requires the structural insight of an active examiner. My methodology bridges the gap between simply knowing the subject and mastering the architecture of the examination itself. Places for the May 2027 cohort are limited.
Beyond Physics
My practice is IB Physics — it is the subject I examine, and the only one I teach. Families I work with, however, often ask for equally rigorous support in other subjects: Mathematics AA, Chemistry, Economics, English or Biology. Over twenty years I have come to know a small circle of colleagues I trust at this level — examiners and senior IB educators. I make personal introductions on request.
