Mathematics, written the way it is marked
In mathematics, marks are rarely lost on the final answer. They are lost on the method the mark scheme rewards — the working shown, the notation, the reasoning that earns method marks even when the arithmetic slips.
Many of my students carry Higher Level Maths alongside Higher Level Physics. One teacher for both means the standard is consistent and nothing falls between them.
